ARE YOU STILL WIDE AWAKE – HYPNOTHERAPY CAN HELP
So there you are still wide awake at 3 am and still no signs of sleep, of course, it happens to be the day that you have to be up early for a meeting. I’m sure we have all been there on those odd occasions when this would have been the night that a good nights sleep would have been most beneficial. Luckily for most people, these are few and far between.
However, what about those times when it seems to become more frequent, suddenly it is happening two or three times per week. Now being deprived of sleep, it is becoming more sinister as well as being detrimental to your overall health and well-being.
THREE TYPES OF INSOMNIA
Knowing that there are three different types of insomnia, which category do you fit into? The first would be a difficulty in dropping off to sleep, this is known as primary insomnia; secondly, waking up several times during the night also having difficulty dropping back off to sleep easily, this is called middle insomnia; thirdly waking up early and not being unable to fall back to sleep again, this is known as terminal insomnia, this is more common at times of stress or depression. However, if you are on medication, it would be helpful to know if this has become detrimental to your sleeping pattern.
The good news is that you cannot, not sleep. Sleep is one of the most selfish parts of you, as people can fall off to sleep at any time and anywhere. This can happen even when people are driving, this is not good! This can be due to mental or physical exhaustion. I’m sure we have all seen the signs on the motorways to pull over and rest if your feeling tired.
MOST CASES OF INSOMNIA & SLEEP ISSUES
Generally, most cases of insomnia are due to a mental blockage that is inhibiting your ability to go to sleep. This is because your mind has continuing thoughts, this is blocking your sleep pattern. This creates a ripple effect that makes you feel anxious throughout the day, which makes you feel unsure if you will be able to go to sleep that night.
You know all too well how unhealthy you feel when the lack of sleep is now having a major effect on your health. It is important to seek help to rectify this, otherwise you can start to feel like you’re going insane.

Also, find your best sleeping pattern. Using therapy methods that can aid your new sleep behaviour. This may include helping you to learn how to relax or self-hypnosis. This therapy is specifically designed for you. Also, be shown techniques to help you cope and to feel normal once more.
